Extended Emission Warranty |
A limited quantity of GX22 SA, GX22 TA, GX610 QZB and GX670 BXF
engines were imported into the USA without the required Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) compliance label. These engines meet the EPA federal clean air emissions
standards but do not have the required EPA compliance label. American Honda Motor
Company, Inc. self reported this oversight to the EPA and has agreed to extend the
emissions warranty for certain engines until December 31, 2009. Check below to identify
if you have one of these models.
Instructions:
Here's how to find if your engine is affected by this emissions warranty extension:
1) Locate your engine's serial number (see diagram below)
2) Enter your engine's serial number in the space provided below and click the Check
Serial Number link.
3) If the indicator light turns red, your engine is not affected by this emission
warranty extension.
4) If the indicator light turns green, your engine emission warranty has been extended
through December 31, 2009. You should print a copy of this page for your records.
You will need to present this page to your dealer should warranty work be needed
under this extension.
